General Questions

Q: Do I have to use PayPal to use HandmadeCatalog.com?
A: If you live in the United States of America, then no, you do not need to use PayPal to purchase or sell crafts at HandmadeCatalog.com. You can mail personal checks or money orders to purchase items and pay for memberships. International buyers and sellers must use PayPal and you have to be in a PayPal approved country to be able to buy or sell at HandmadeCatalog.com. For a list of PayPal approved countries, please visit www.paypal.com

Q: I forgot my password, what should I do?
A: For Sellers, go to the login screen (by clicking the link in the upper middle of our homepage or click here: www.handmadecatalog.com/provider ), click the link that says “Forgot your password?” and follow the instructions to reset your password. For Buyers & Shoppers, go to the login screen (by clicking the link on the right hand side of our homepage or click here: www.handmadecatalog.com/provider ), click the link that says “Forgot your password?” and follow the instructions to reset your password.

Q: How do I report abuse of HandmadeCatalog.coms’ User Agreement or Privacy Policy?
A: Please report anything you think is incorrect on our site to the webmaster@handmadecatalog.com immediately.
 


Buyers Questions

Q: How does the buying process work?
A: When you purchase an item at HandmadeCatalog.com an email is sent to the crafter of the item and to our office. The crafter or our webmaster will confirm your order and you can check back for shipment tracking information. Remember, these items are made by hand and it make up to 10 days for the crafters to make your item. You should receive your item no less than 20 days after your order. If you have any special request, would like custom quotes, etc just email our webmaster@handmadecatalog.com - Almost all members will make custom crafts just for you!

Q: How do I pay for an order with a check or money order?
A: Please locate our order form which you need to print out to accompany your check or money order. Simply mail your filled out form along with your payment to: HandmadeCatalog.com 3230 Palmtree Drive Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404

Q: How do I list an item?
A: This is easy but first you have to become a member. Once you are logged in as a member you will find an easy-to-use form that will guide you through listing your inventory. At minimum, you will have to provide a title, description, an image and a price for the item. Once you get used to our program, you will find many other features you can add to your listings for better exposure.

Q: Who Sees My Crafts on HandmadeCatalog?
A: HandmadeCatalog.com takes advantage of many types of advertising to help you sell your crafts online. Our members enjoy the benefits of their crafts being listed on all the major shopping networks like Froogle.com (Googles shopping network), Shopwiki.com, Search.Live.com and many others. Our entire catalog updated at these sites twice each week. We also run many print advertisements in magazines and newspapers. In addition we send an email sales flyer to over 2000 registered shoppers every week. Also, being on the Internet for over 5 years has placed us at the top or near the top of all the major search engines such as MSN, Yahoo and GOOGLE. We current receive 1500 plus new and unique visitors to the site everyday. Our members can log in and actually see how many visitors have viewed their crafts and see how other members crafts are doing as well. We cannot guarantee sales but we do guarantee many people will see your crafts every month.

Q: Who can be a seller?
A: If you make hand crafted items, you can be a seller at handmadeCatalog.com. You must be over 18 and if you reside outside the U.S. then you must be able to use PayPal in your country.

Q: How do I decide which membership level is right for me?
A: Most members determine which membership is right for them depending on how many different items they want to sell. Still not sure or on a budget? Choose the basic membership plan, you can always upgrade from one level to the next if your business grows.

Q: How do I start selling my crafts on HandmadeCatalog.com
A: To register as a seller, we require that you fill out our registration form and that you to agree our seller agreement, choose a membership level and make your first monthly payment via paypal. Once your information and payment is received, your account will be reviewed. Within 24 hours of receipt of your payment your account will be activated and you will receive a confirmation email with your permanent username and instructions on how to log in and manage your inventory.

Q: How much does it cost to become a seller?
A: You can choose from three different membership plans starting as low as $4.95 per month.

Q: How do I pay for my seller’s membership?
A: When you sign up you will be directed to choose your membership level, once you decide you will have an opportunity to use paypal to start a monthly subscription. You can cancel this subscription at any time by sending an email to the pam@handmadecatalog.com or you can go to www.paypal.com and cancel the subscription there.

Q: Will you add a category to the main list if necessary?
A: Yes, we will gladly add a category for your items if one does not already exist.

Q: I signed up as a seller and I never received the confirmation email, how do I get it resent?
A: Simply send an email to the pam@handmadecatalog.com

Q: What items can’t I sell on HandmadeCatalog.com
A: We do not allow any factory made items except for craft related supplies. If you see any factory made items, please alert the webmaster immediately.

Q: How do I add pictures to an item listing?
A: Once you are logged in as a member you will be instructed on how to insert your images into your product listing. You will need a digital camera and be able to transfer your pictures to your computer.

Q: How long do items stay listed for?
A: Until you take them down or cancel your membership
