Unearthed Gingko Ring - Sterling and Verdigris Hand Cut Brass - Made to Order |
Hand-cut raw, yellow brass in the shape of a gingko biloba leaf rests atop a 1/4" (0.635 cm) wide band of sterling silver. The silver is oxidized & polished, and the brass leaf is given several layers of verdigris patina which was then aged in a process of repeated brushings & painted layers for a great effect. The verdigris is then sealed with micro-crystalline wax so as to prevent chipping.

*PLEASE NOTE that I only use lead free & cadmium free silver solder in my soldered pieces, and a natural non-toxic "pickle" to clean the metal after using the torch. All of my raw metals (wire, sheet, etc.) are recycled/reclaimed metal. When oxidizing, I also use liver of sulfur. No harsh chemicals.*
