This is Cassandra. She is a 17" tall handcrafted cloth doll. Her body and clothing (including shoes and underwear) are completely hand sewn. Her body is made from stretch polyester interlock fabric and her face is needle sculptured. She is stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has lovely green eyes which were hand painted with fabric paint. Her hair is soft, wavy black Homespun yarn. It's plaited into a partial braid and fastened at the top with a white lace flower and at the bottom with a white silk ribbon. She is wearing a pink pinafore over a cream dress with a purple flower and ribbon print. The pinafore has a heart shaped applique and a heart shaped pocket in the same fabric as the dress. The cuffs of the long sleeved dress are trimmed with white lace. Both the dress and the pinafore fasten at the back with velcro. Cassandra is wearing pink underwear with her name printed on the waistband. Her shoes are purple felt with cardboard soles and are tied with gold cord. I've signed and dated the bottom of her right foot. Cassandra is an original one of a kind creation, handcrafted with great care. She would make a wonderful gift this Christmas.
